Underwater gameplay is terrifying!
Not gonna lie, but i am loathing doing the underwater stuff. I feel totally defenseless and the sharks scare the pants off me. lol. I just did the first dive mission for medicine. Hopefully i can get use to this and avoid getting eaten alive.

Haven't seen the whales underwater yet, do they attack too ? and other predators ?

There are other things that can hurt you underwater such as eels, stingrays, jelly fish, as well as the coral on the ocean and accidentally swimming too close to it. However all the predators the shark is the most sinister looking and for good reason.

I have not discovered any whales underwater.

I have done all the underwater areas and wish there was more than what was offered.

Keep in mind if you get killed underwater then you will not necessarily lose any item or chest looting that you have done previously.

That's nice, it would suck losing all progress if i die. Something about the sharks and the ocean i find extremely creepy. Since i cant fight them, makes me feel like fish food lol. Getting lost in the water is pretty scary too not knowing where the shark is. I had the same problem with Farcry 3, its even worse in first person since you have no idea where the shark is and no diving bell or bushes to hide in. I skipped all the underwater stuff in farcry 3.

Hmm I'm new in this game (playing for two days) - some one can explain me how to dive?

That's how I feel in real life - if something that lives underwater wants to get you, it's gonna get you. I know it's kinda sad to be afraid of sharks and stuff that much since I can just choose to not go in the ocean, but meh.

You can't until later in the game.

There is a whale FYI....i dont know if its a particular wreck....it happens to bumble on past in the 'inaccessable' background...if you wait around and keep your eyes open you'll see it... its pretty huge

There are at least two whales in the underwater locations. I couldnt begin to tell you which ones without going through the game and playing again to see them but one is as the person above mentioned, a whale that swims past in the background.

Another is part of an easter egg cutscene if you look through a porthole in a sunken wreckage you will see a whale being attacked by a giant squid/octopus.

cool, missed the porthole....i guess i look for that in about 2 years when i replay ;)

there is a nice easter egg cutscene in a wreck of a giant squid taking down a whale and one at devils eye cavern if you do it the right way.
