Gather a bunch of guards (preferably the standard one) around you and wait for them to attack you. Use swords only.
Then when they do: Block and counter. Once you succesfully counter and kill the first guard who attacked you, you can immediatly turn on the nearest guard, attack him and kill him quickly. In doing so, you should almost instantly jump into the next kill animation without actually fighting. Rinse and repeat upto seven.
Other guards should not have the time to attack you when jumping from kill animation to kill animation.
You do need to remember this: DO NOT MASH THE ATTACK BUTTON!
Wait for the kill animation to play out and jump to the next guard.
Also: avoid heavies and captains, those are immune to the insta-kill-animation-chain and need to have their defense broken, possibly breaking your kill chain.
Agile guards you need not worry about, they can be insta-killed too.
Best places to do this are boarding actions on a Man o' War or the beachassault during the mission where you need to fend off the Spanish attack on the Assassins.
In both cases there are an unlimited number of guards spawning if you just don't complete the next objective and keep fighting.
Hope this helps!
smoke bomb and you are king xD
i've been avoiding heavies and captains but i do mash the attack button. so... i just click one time on the attack after i kill the first one?
thanks for the help ;)
that doesn't help with me :(
Usually the first kill animation will be three hits with the sword, once the kill streak is initiated they will be quick kills mostly only one sword hit.
And like posted above do not spam the attack button..
that i always knew. even being unable to get it i'm not in that noob level :)
Indeed, that's the trick. If timed correctly, you should instantly jump on- and kill your next guard in just a single strike.
After which you can just keep repeating the process.
Doing all as stated above, but what happens is that Edward often doesn't jump to the next target. He just stands there in the middle of the fight, swords out an does nothing. Even with an opponent selected and close by an me hitting the attack button... "He just doesn't attack"...!!!
Why does that happen, cause after a few seconds he will get attacked an ONLY then he springs into action... But then whatever streak I had of course... is broken.
If you use run, does it break your streak?
(I did 6 running kills in a row once, so 7 must be doable too)...
