It's really useless in my opinion. according to Ubi forums all players have this problem since Uplay cloud servers is down. maybe after it start working again everything will be fine. who knows
If nothing helps they are sorry but I would have to play from the previous spot of the savegame.
Thats when I wrote back - friendly - that my problem is not a messed up savegame but the missing savegame alltogether. I mean hey, the start menu even shows me the subtitle of the sequence you`re in, but the only option I get is to start a new game as all save-slots are empty.
Still waiting for their reply.
In any case, I will turn off cloud sync AND set the uplay to offline mode AND backup my files after each session. This way nothing gets lost should they be able to restore something in the cloud...but I am losing hope.
Well then, off we go to a speed run. I definitely will not do side quests or collectibles - lost the taste for that. Just want to see the campaign ending.
Again - if anybody would happen to have savegame files for sequence 10 or 11, please send me a note! I would REALLY appreciate it.

This is a pretty ♥♥♥♥*d up situation. because of Uplay Cloud servers down alot of peoples including myself lost all progress in AC BF and Splinter cell black list too, and now they are telling me to start from scratch !? :'( no way
Well apparently that adds up to the confusion. One would assume the support teams know about things on an international basis. Apparently not and so we still don`t know whether the problem can actually be solved. For me its the german support.
Edit: Oddly the save works fine on my other computer even though I didn't play much of the game on there.
Same here! The services offered by UPlay are really messed up. No excuses!
