Any hints on beating the legendary ships?
I have the Jackdaw fully upgraded and there is only one legendary I can even come close to beating before it destroys me. All the rest just annilahate me. I could use some pointers if any.

For El Impoluto (the one that loves to ram you), try to get behind it then chainshot it, it will slow it down, then ram it from behind, rinse and repeat.

For the twins, try to isolate one ship (don't go in the middle) and bring it down to red health, but don't destroy it because if you do then the other one will go crazy. Get them both down to low health and take them out.

For the other 2 ships, well I found it pretty easy to just circle them with heavy/normal broadsides. If you need to avoid mortar slow down and change your course drastically then speed up.

I found that if any of the ships try to ram you, running away and spamming firebarrels is a good tactic to deal some damage, for El Imputo the rammer, i actually charged at him straight on, chain shotted him when he got close and then started to ram and heavy shot him from the side/behind. He was a pain to deal with, I just beat all the ships last night. The twins I just when mortar crazy with and sailed straight at one of them when they went on either side of me, and laid some viscious heavy shot into them

All in all, they are definitely not an easy battle.

don't go in the middle he says, I tried that as soon as I realized why there were two ships, but they swung out so wide that there was no way for me to do anything BUT go in the middle.....
then....the buttseks

lol. Well you can split them up on an angle so that they both aren't firing at you. Plus drop fire barrels so one has to avoid them, etc. Don't forget your mortars. Play the long game.
