Ill stick to Black Flag
Imho, the 2 lowest points in the Assassin's Creed (AC) franchise were the AC: Unity, then had that wonderful AC: Origins exception (to their now usual subpar quality, rushed out of development bar) and then plummeted again to a new lowest with AC: Oddysssey (in which you don't even have an Hidden Blade unless you get the forking stupid "simply hadd it here" DLC of it).
So, thus far and quite obvious they've lost me as fidelized customer pretty much since AC: Origins and they'll seriously need to change their business model into a sustained development model one as it once was (unitl 2010 or so) before I've even ponder in changing my mind.
That actually reminded me that the first time I remember seeing wet clothes when you exit water was in Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.... which I now realize can ALSO be considered a better pirate game, lol.
Unity is awesome, if you disregard its terrible launch. It looks best of all and the crowd density is amazing. I also liked the detective mysteries and the way could approach assassination. That game did a lot right.
