Assassin Creed 4 BLACK FLAG - SAVE GAME MISSING !!! HELP !!!

Okay, so today, somehow my Game crashed and freeze while doing some "plundering"... so i have to hard restart my PC...
and Ta-Daa My save file is gone...

it 's like brand new assassin creed... (new start game on 3 slot)

i have 100% complete save game... for ac4... is there anyway to restore back my save game ?
i just recently bought it last week on steam
i have tried to run by administrator from my steam folder, but still there is nothing about my save file...

can anyone help ? or facing the same problem as me ?
how do i restore my missing new game data ?

the funny thing is my "freedom cry" save data, still there... but the main game...

You probably have the option to save on ubisoft cloud selected. Deselect it in uplay. As far as getting your saves back, I don't know if it is possible. Google it a bit, I stumbled upon people having this problem when I had my corrupt save game problem.

i have tried copy my latest savegame and paste it everywhere, on document, programfiles, and installed folder, but nothing seems works... so looks like i should accept the fact that maybe it ain't coming back...

Where did you get your latest savegame from?

Mine are located here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\4a1d039b-4c68-499c-81b3-73f59432eaf1\437

But still it can vary from system to system.

If it's not in the save game folder, I'm afraid you'll most likely have to start again

Does it say your save game files were corrupted or are they just missing?

Are you trying to load your steam save game files or some old save games before you bought them on steam? Save game files are linked to your account.

They were probably just being saved to the uplay cloud... So sorry to tell you that you will probably have to start over.

I had to start over as well after my saves got corrupted. So I am backing them up now with save manager.

sorry for necroing this, but i have a similar problem. the save files are either not saving properly or being deleted (i suspect the second one, as i'll explain in a sec).

basically, everything works fine and when i quit to main menu i can start where i left off. but if i quit to windows, the save game disappears and like the OG poster said, it's like i have a brand new game - with 3 'start new game' slots. this happens every time i play, so i'm stuck at 0%

weirdly, the .save files in the save directory have not been modified since I installed the game in late june. haven't been able to find another. help?

turn off your cloud saving... as i remember it works for me... sorry been done with game... since i get f*cking piss off by freedom cry, that keep crashing
