Multiplayer - No option to disable controler vibration

My Xbox controller always turns off when it vibrates so I get around this by turning the feature off ,however only the single player portion of the game gives you the option to turn off controller vibration while the multiplayer portion doesn't allow you to turn it off.
Therefore I can't play multiplayer without my controller disconnecting every five seconds when I spot someone so I'm wondering if anyone knows where in the files I can turn this setting off for multiplayer.
