Unable to board the ship.

It is Abstergo near the begining of the game. I am on the Island and I am told to board the ship and take over the wheel. I cannot get aboard. I sneak up to the ladder and can't board it; I have tried both sides of the ship, been very sneaky so I wouldn't be seen. Help please.

u dont have to be sneaky to get on a ship, have u tried to restart from the last checkpoint?

i usually do that whenever i get similar glitches that you're having

Exit game and then restart computer, then launch game again sometimes helps when just doing a checkpoint restart doesn't work, also.

Thanks for all the feedback...I've tried re-starting from the checkpoint numerous times. Been working at this for a month now :( .. so I have exited the game and restarted my pc many times. *sigh*

Someone suggested that I swim up to the ladder instead of sneaking up to it.

Maybe I need to find the treasures in the water before trying to board...I don't know.

Is there a specific key button to use in order to climb aboard the ship. The task says to "reach the steering wheel", but I don't know how to climb aboard.

I swim next to the ship and tried every key. I cannot seem to climb on board the ship.

The solution is to swim fast to the ship, approaching the side where there are two boards that one could climb up. As long as you approach fast, you'll get up into the ship automatically

coming in fast did help me. I must say that only idiots program games in such a way. There is no excuse for such stupidity.

OMG this is so fkng ridiculous. Playing this on switch and had same problem. Everywhere else you press B to climb, get to ship and it doesn't give you that option to climb up. No, you have to swim at it at full speed and then it works. FFS.
