Aveline - Starting Mission

[Too Many Side Quest]

My first mission was to get to rebel camp up in the mountain, so, I need to climb u. I got to the part where I need to swing while hanging under a pole then toss myself to the other side of the wall. I learned that Shift key to swing but I don't know how to let go. Can somebody help me on this one? Sorry if my english is not that good. TIA.

Should be the same as whatever button jumps. Sorry, but I only use an xbox controller

Space bar for me makes Edward jump onto or off of stuff. I use mouse & keyboard. But, certainly DarkAngel has figured it out by now...

Thanks! hOLd Shift and left mouse button at same time then press W key to toss yourself to the otherside. How do you quick save in this game?

No quicksaves. You can use Fast Travel to trigger an Auto-save, but that's about it. I can't remember if entering the Captain's Cabin on the Jackdaw triggers an auto-save or not, but try that as well.

You can't do any of those things in the Aveline mission. But it's super duper short. I think I mashed through it in 30-45 minutes. I played it after completely finishing the main story and all of the side missions, so at that point I knew my assassin biz pretty well. No dilly-dallying. Stab stab stab.

Ahh, I thought it was part of the Black Flag (main) game. Sorry. Shows you how much I know about this "Aveline". Is that the Liberation DLC? Think I remember seeing something about that one recently.

Here's hoping for a good Sale sometime soon. $20 doesn't interest me for an hour's worth of entertainment.

Liberation is way bigger than that. I'm not actually sure how you get Avaline. I got the AC4 gold edition and it was just in there. Liberation is a whole separate game and is supposed to be like 8 hours. I think it's actually AC3: Liberation. A port of the PSP version. I gave that one a skip. However I have gotten and intend to play through AC4 Freedom Cry (which is similar to liberation, in that it's separate). You play as Adewale. I thought he was a pretty cool character so I’m interested in that.

It's really weird how in Freedom Cry, the "rescue slaves" events just keep happening repeatedly, sometimes 3 or 4 in the same general area!! Clear one by saving some patrol that's marching some slaves somewhere, and immediately a cage will respawn in the background with more slaves in it!!

Not as many little problems as Aveline had in it (plus the voice acting in that one left a LOT to be desired!) but Freedom Cry is pretty decent...so far. I'm getting so many random slave rescue encounters happening all within a few meters of each other it's a bit confusing sometimes what I'm supposed to be doing at any given moment.
