Where did my Save files go?
A few days ago i couldnt log into ubisoft connect at all and when i could all my save files for my Assassins creed games were gone, most of the others had access to auto save back ups, but for black flag, is there a way to retrieve my previous saved games?

1st of all, and imho, particularly because you've said that you haven't been able to connect to Ubi$oft Connect in the last few days you should be looking over here for those saved games files. It has served me well in the past and most likely will do the same for you too. :winter2019happybulb:

And from which type of AC IV: BF is your game? Is it from Ubi$soft like mine (i.e., folder "273" or something else)?
At any case, you should be using the path into your game's location like for ex. mine should be (if I didn't had a customized location folder directory location for all my launcher/games Stores): "C:\Programs\Ubisoft\Game\Launcher\savegames\[InsertRandomCrapNumberHere]\273". After copying those, start the game and they should instantly appear to you when loading a game.

Fyi edit add side note: Since Ubi$oft Connect is still crapping up to connect to Ubi$oft's servers don't mind it at all and your saves should be the predominant ones if they ever compare the dates between with the eventual ones that might be stashed in there (although I doubt it since AC IV: BF is now a "Legacy title"[www.ubisoft.com], according to their own definition.

It's also upon the very same thread that I've linked upon my 1st post upon this thread, but just a tad higher upon that very same page of the above mentioned (thread's) link.

Hey Basan,

Forgive my confusion, I have located the save files under:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\906611c2-fdf3-4a7b-a628-6badcf740102\437

I do not know the path to copy them too so that they show up in my game.

Is there a folder in My documents, Steam or AppData im supposed to copy them into?

Simply move that folder from your it's current place into your working environment. And then start the game for it to really acknowledge that it has no saves. :rocketsaway:
Close AC IV:BF afterwards, move the files into that same place they used to be and then restart the game to see if it works. :winter2019happybulb: *Meh*

And if it doesn't then it might be better to do some browsing and hunting for save files that were near your current game's stage. :hotline:

Unfortunately removing the files, starting the game and then replacing the files and starting the game didnt change.

Is that the only folder the save games can be found in ?

Not sure if you actually did what I've said above, tbh. You did closed the game after having no save files in that folder (i.e., also probably start a new game to see if a file is created), right? And then reopened the game after placing those once again where they're supposed to be, correct?

And if that doesn't work then it seems that your save files got somehow corrupted and then I highly suggest you to proceed to browsing for save file(s) replacements over the internet.

I moved the two files located in the 437 folder and started the game while they were empty, I then opened the game and closed it on the main screen as it only had the option to start a new game.

When i exit the game and open the empty 437 folder it has two new files created.

I copy the old files into the folder and replace the newly made files and reopen the game still having only the option to start a new game not load any others.

Is the only save game file for AC BF in the Ubisoft folder, is there no other save folders in the directories?

Ubisoft breaks old games with patches these days, so now the best way to play games that you've bought is to *KHMsailthe7seasKHM* them.
Ik it's cringe, but it's ubusoft

Mine are still working, so your assumption is wrong. :baa:

And what's all that garbage about buying saves from "KHM... whatever the crap that is"!?! :steambored:
I've always acquired my save files freely for such games over the internet while specifically searching for those :hotline: (if they ever got corrupted, because I've always searched for my friends and not mine since I've pretty much always created back-ups for those). :winter2019happybulb:
