what is the difference between the Standalone version and the DLC one?

The 1st came out later and simply was an Ubi$oft's gimmick to get customers/players to pay for what was originally the Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (AC IV: BF) Freedom cry DLC as if it was an independently made game.

And, quite unfortunatelly for us as Ubi$oft's customers, their usual greed's 'cancer' of theirs and assorted sloppiness when dealing with that port was easily shown by the stand alone version not even having "Achievements" that tend to please a certain gamers audience.
Certainly more than, for example, mine since I rarely go for specific "Achievements" humting (because I perceive most of those as being some sort of boast bragging instead of actually having fun obtaining those during your regular enjoyment while playing games).
