keyboard / controller problem

Hi Gamers,

i have explored a little problem and i dont know how to solve it.
I played this game right after i downloaded it. works fine for me, everything was going well.
I restarted my PC later and now i want to play again. But it is not possible, because i cant use my keyboard. WASD and so on doesnt work. I can use escape and the mouse in the menus, but in game nothing is happening (even lookaround with mouse is not possible).

with that i explored that all the tips, hints and steering displays (like on top right ingame, or the hints while the loading screens) shows the XBOX or Playstation Buttons (like A, B, X and so on).
It looks like the game want to be played with a controller right now. But why? I have no controller, so i have not connected one. I didnt changed anything in the options. I discovered, that the option "force feedback" or "vibration" is enable or disable yet. But that makes no sense, when there is no controller connected to the PC, right?

I did not change any USB Connectors. I use a G510 keyboard and a Urage Mouse, everything works fine, expect in the game.

What can i do?

can you change the type of controls in the menu (keyboard + 2 button mouse, keyboard only, etc)? It could be that perhaps..
also, before you restarted did you make any change to your pc? Like installing a program after installing ac4? Or did it make any updates after restarting? If so, it could be a conflict problem.

To be honest, my guess is that your problem is in the assassin4.ini file in the ACIV folder in your documents but i'm not sure.

no, the options dont allow to change the input controller.
and no, i dont made any changes, nothing. no updates, no installs.
i checked the .ini and changed it - but the game rewrites / overwrites the .ini, so its useless for me.

i checked "installed software" and found a "Vjoy Controller" there, which i never installed. Must had come with Blackflag. Removed / uninstalled it, and now it works.

Pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ solution, ubisoft. i dont get it, why to manage it that way.
