Help needed in adding non-Steam Black Flag to Steam *SOLVED*
So, I own Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag uplay version, and I want it added to steam as a "Non-steam" game to use its lovely overlay.

Thing is, there's no specific executable to get the game's main screen, where you get to choose between SP and MP, running... just the executables for SP and MP, which just lead you to Ubisoft Game Launcher's main screen, having to navigate all the way to the 'games' tab to launch the game.

What have you guys done to get this sorted out, if at all possible? The shortcut the game creates upon completion of the setup links to a url, not a file in the game's directory, for the record.

*SOLVED* All you have to do is open Uplay first, then open Assassin's Creed IV Blck Flag through your library, then overlay works fine. =)

Bump. Has anyone got non-steam game version to work with overlay?

I would imagine you'd have to do it just like steam does and link it to uplay not the game itself. I never tried it with uplay but i did it with origin for battlefield 3 and it worked.

Why can't you just add it to your Steam library where it says add game?

Because if you just add it, when you launch the game the overlay doesnt work. You have to actually have uplay launcher opened first.
