Audio Bug, Is it the game or my PC?

Hi, so I have a question. I started up my game of AC 4 earlier today, and noticed that certain audio sounds had stopped playing. Cinematic cutscenes would fail to play Edward's voice, and the zipping sounds when Edward launches himself into the mast from his ship. Possibly some other sounds as well. The majority of the sounds still played normally however.

I did just earlier update a few of my drivers, including my graphics drivers and a sound driver, so it is possible that these may have installed incorrectly.

However, I tried a few of my other games as well and they seem to be working perfectly. Also, my computer performance has noticibly increased since my driver updates, which would seem to indicate a correct installment.

I am currently reinstalling my drivers which I had updated, and reinstalling the game, I just would like to know for certain if it's my pc or game.

I do have a stereo setup, I have to check on the configuration.

I just checked my speaker setup, and found out that was my problem all along. When I updated my drivers, it reset my configuration to a setup of more than 2 speakers, which was why only some of the sound was messed up. I set my speakers back to stereo and it fixed everything!
