i finished the game but never ever found any of the items to send his ships in his private fleet to any of the locations, i did a look at every ship i came across always same items, needed coco,coffee,tobacco. bananas never found them; what did i miss;

when you free up shipping lanes you get rewarded with all those items from sinking the ships. coffee, tobacco, rice, cocoa, bannas, etc and the occasional fire barrel. When you speed up friends ships you get a fire barrel for each one. hope that helps
~~Edit~~ you must sink the ships in the fleet. so all shipping lanes in Kenways fleet minigame rewards those commodities.

Also, the Red lanes are the extremely dangerous, will have at least one Man O war, up to 3, Yellowish brownish, Dangerous will usually have frigs and brigs, lighter yellow will have schooners and gunboats, till you get it green and then its safe to send your ships. You can send your ships on lanes that arent cleaned up but dont expect them to come back, or they may limp back if your lucky. Make sure you capture at least 3-5 man o wars, 3-5 frigs, and a few brigs are good, I started with schooners and they are the easiest to get early on.

You can also scrap ships to earn more diamonds to open up more ports up to 15, it gets pretty easy to make those by scrapping ships you upgrade on, for example if you have a bunch of schooners and get brigs and frigs, salvage your old ships for better ones, or higher level ones with better stats; speed, firepower for example. This will get ya all you need and in no time will you be capped at diamonds and have 1000's of items to trade on routes

yes that helped, i just wish i new it sooner, i had plenty of docks and diamonds funny thing is i felt like i was picking up more drowning people then fighting,,,in order to clean up the shipping lanes id have had to sink everything,,,,,i had like four brigs frigs and a lot of those dam fire barrel boats; it will be a while before i replay it. confusing end like all the creed games, hes a fake person in a vidio game with a fake with and daughter and then a son at a theater; ok, i got all the aramas and only one visit by the being in the machine; always questions

glad to help, yea it is a bit confusing as you aquire the ships by boarding and then sending them to your fleet, you dont get to use your fleet till later in the game, i think after memory 4? and then all items are gained by sinking the enemy ships in your shipping lanes you open up. but you do get a lot of cash when you have 15 ships out. I usually left a brig in dock in case i had to clean up some lanes against fire boats or w/e.. fire barrels would usually help alot if my single brig couldnt take out what i was up against. Enjoy!!

useing kenways fleet is quite good to make money until about 50% of the game is completed. fleet gets somewhat pointless though after that point...
half a million in my bunker and i dont even know how i would spend it anymore.... :/
neither why i would run even more fleetmissions for that reason.

you will be able with 1 scooner and 2-3 brigantine in backhand to clean every lane (except the reds).
put your fastest vessel that u want to use in that fight always on top as it will gain additional speedbonus and will so fire cannons even faster...

I agree partly, as it gets really boring, spending at least 10 mins taking care of lanes, i usually end up with them red, when the companion app worked i just did it remotely and just always sent out ships through that... i dunno if its gone or what, but amazon market does not seem to have it anymore but its still installed... dunno if google play has it updated or what. I get updates but it refuses connection with the server in fleet mode, other stuff i can see even when im synced to pc.. dont get it, but aside of that the only other reason is going for the most properous in leaderboards, it boosted mine but not sure if i care anymore.. lol

Yea i like the 3 ships in tow, the brig by itself actually is just as fast as schooners in the speed lane, as i can take these out before they can hit me, but gunboats always shot first, so i either wasted more time repairing or just used the fire barrel to speed things up.
Only time i used frigs was against the dark yellow otherwise it was man o wars in all 3 lanes if they werent out if i wanted to enjoy the mini battle in red and the next level down 2 brigs or 2 and one frig was all i needed for the rest unless it was a single ship, then one brig is fine.

oh and ive found that the level 60 man o wars are easiest to get when you have 4 swords and the pirate hunters come, there is always one, and i focus on that one first.. though i have elite hull now and cannons, still need the elite mortars but will cross that bridge later

my worst nightmare was the legendary ships; i was at my height couldnt upgrade anymore and that sob war ship cut me to ribbons; i did a lot of fishing just to relax;;

LOL yea they are, im still trying to get em.. ive tested a few but man i need the elite mortars, at least i would have a better chance i would think..
