How do I find 'Prerequisite Elite Plans'?

I found a mice number of treasure maps, but all they lead me to is things like Blackwoood Steering Wheel or 'Spanish Figurine to put at the front of the ship'. Stuff like that, but nothing I can use.

I have upgraded everything at Jackdaw that I can upgrade up to this point, I've done it all - except the things that require me to find Prerequisite Elite Plans for the various upgrades (Hull Armor Upgrade f.ex., or the Mortar, or the last range of Broadside Cannons... Swivel Strength Cannons, Round Shot Strength and Chain Shot Strength, etc.

Either way, I would be grateful if somebody had some advice about where to find these Prerequitise Elite Plans.

Gday mate
They're mostly in the underwater diving bell zones. There are guides/locations available, but the diving bell is unlocked approximately 40% into the main story (after helping James Kidd in Kingston).

Thanks, yes it helps a lot, actually. Luckily I've just recently got the Diving Bell, so I can start searching the unterwatter areas. I've noticed some of them are marked by the question mark, making you think it's an island. Now I see why they've done it that way.

BTW, can anyone tell me the coordinates where I'll find Red Howler Monkeys? - I've looked and looked and simply can't find them anywhere.

if you have trouble finding a certain skin or bone, you should be able to buy it from a merchant.

It's on an island you need to unlock by playing the story, like sequence 8 or so. You can see it on the map when you get to the island.
