Ubisoft Connect Save Migration to STEAM?

So friends, I played Assassin's IV Black Flag during the 7-day free Ubisoft Connect Subscription (TWITCH) promotion. So in a Steam promotion, I bought the same game, because I wouldn't sign Ubisoft+ to play just one game... I have a few hours played (Campaign Mode) and I'm well evolved with my boat and my character items. Any way I can migrate the Ubisoft Connect Save to the game activated on Steam?

Ubisoft Connect requires you to link the account to your Steam account. You shouldn't need to 'migrate' anything as long as you have logged into the correct accounts on both sides.

Everything was linked before I even started the game, but when I opened it I came across the only option to start a new game!

i had this issue and sadly its a case of 2 diff license keys/sources so they don't see each other.
in simple terms your ubi copy is a diff one to your steam copy and no way to merge them
