Did i just buy this for nothing?

Played this when it came out on my xbox, now i got that and AC III on steam and uplay. Just browsing threads while AC III installs and i've read somewhere that both of those games are dx11 only. Store page for AC III lists it as DX10 while black flag says absolutely nothing about dx version.

Should i be worried? I figured since they both run on xbox 360 they'd be compatible with DX10 but if it isn't true then i might as well refund them.

it uses DX11, because it can use TXAA in game

Its dx11. Dx10 has never been used for about 7 years. Steam store is not exactly accurate.

Use the website called pcgamingwiki for such things. Knowing is half the battle.

AC III seems to run in DX10 just fine.

And Black Flag can run on DX9, 10 and eleven, at least according to this nvidia page i just found:

Ubisoft’s system requirements for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag scale well across a wide range of DirectX 9, DirectX 10 and DirectX 11 configurations, enabling players with older systems to enjoy the game. For best results, equip your system with a Quad Core CPU and a DirectX 11 GPU."

If only i could afford it. Finally bought a half decent PSU, now i won't have to do repairs at 4AM.
As with most people i seem to be having some fps issues in the city so i'm looking over the config file to see what can be done about that.

Very few games actually completely lock you out of them if you don't have a specific DirectX version. Assassin's Creed 3 and Black Flag are not among those.
