Elevator Bug?
So I'm told to connect to the Elevator WiFi ... and when I tell it to go to floor 17 ... the motor hums.... and it doesn't move... Any ideas?

EDIT: So .... I reinstalled the game and now the elevator works... In case anybody has this issue.

This just happened to me. Told to go to the CEO's office and I can weirdly get it to move up until it loads by moving back and forth in the center of the elevator but when it loads to the floor I'm supposed to be at it just stops indefinitely. Guess I'll be reinstalling.

Edit: So my problem was the 240fps patch from Nexusmods. Exited the game and disabled that mod and it works fine.

Yeah it's because the game was only programmed for a certain FPS and the MOVEMENT in-game is tied to that... so once you get past that one instance, you can swap things back and it'll be fine I think.

I'm having the exact same issue and i also use the 240fps mod. Do you happen to know if I the patch causes more problems like this one? or can I just get past the elevator without patch, and then reinstall the patch after?

Yeah you'd need to play the game 'normally' until the game saves... and then add in your other stuff.

Yeah I've recently replayed AC4 and encountered the exact same bug. Can confirm that it is caused by the 240fps mod off of NexusMods.

All you have to do to fix the issue is copy the original AC4BFSP.exe file (hopefully you made a backup XD) and then paste and replace that inside the location of the AC4 Black Flag steam folder (i.e., go into your steam library, find AC4 on the left hand side panel, right click it, manage->browse local files).

Once you replace the exe file, reopen the game, do the Abstergo mission and you can go back to the 240 fps exe file if you want. I'm quite sure there are only 2 Abstergo missions in total where you are forced to use the buggy elevator so it's actually not that bad to just alternate the exe files.

Also, if you replaced the original exe file without making a backup you might be able to just get it back from Recycle Bin (on Windows at least) without having to reinstall the game :lunar2019coolpig:.

Tell me which resolution you set, 'cause I don't want to delete my 240fps 😭

See I'd Alt-Tab to look up the issue... and alt tab back in ... and still nothing... so that's just a 'you' thing I think?

Maybe that does work? If it does for someone, then cool.

You can set a 60fps lock to get it to go up like normal. I used RivaTuner
