Atm, Ubi$oft is going through finantial harships and this is the easiest way to bleed our wallets into theirs. By denying acquiring AC IV: Black Flag at a sales prices upon the Steam previously to the announced date is, imho, a really low etchics move, a business predatory greed practice (i.e., by trying for us to go at Ubi$osft Connect to acquire it at full price) and they should feel the burn from it with the community pretty much telling them to shove it in a place where the Sun supposedly doesn't shine.
And it's for reasons similar to these that Ubi$oft has lost me from being a fidelized customer a loooong time ago. The latest low quality, rushed out of development AC's, namely AC: Oddyssey, pretty much convinced me to stop being their customer even if I've been reading that AC: Valhalla sort of redeems that trend, mostly if you play as a female Eivor. But, highly alas for them, by this point until I start seeing some sustained (gaming) business development model from their end allied with some ethics, they won't convince me to acquire any of their products. Especially if those will be 'so called' "Remasters".
