(answered)Unlocked Elite Upgrades without going to the shipwrecks?
As the title says. I am confused as to why i was able to purchase all the Elite Upgrades that require you to dive to a location underwater. For reference I unlocked them all before the mission in which Thatch Blackbeard tells you to buy the Diving Bell, and try to recover the Medicine of the Treasure Fleet.

Anybody else encountered this? will provide screenshots if required.

Then, imho, it's most likely a recent bug. I've always had to dive through the Shiwrecks to get all those elite upgrades for the Jackdaw, but I haven't replayed AC IV: Black Flag for a few months now, so... that entails into the recent bug conclusion as well.

The technology time saver pack removed the requirements to look for the elite ship plans.
One of the ship plans required the fleet game to be played, the rest could be found throughout the world.
A similar pack existed for Rogue.

Resources and collectibles time saver packs aren't the same. Each one unlocked different things throughout the game. There was a limit that they could only be bought once.

The base game does not include any of the time saver packs, neither does the season pass. The gold edition includes them. Even Rogue deluxe includes the time saver packs.
Freedom Cry dlc is not affected by the time saver packs, as you have to liberate many to unlock ship upgrades.

Now that you've mentioned it I also recall seeing those upon both AC IV: Black Flag and AC: Rogue but decided to never get any of those because it'd take out the fun for me to on how to figure out some ways to reach those and also provided that those make the game last longer, particularly if you're searching for any of those Vessel's.

They also might be upon other more recent Assassin's Creed's (AC) franchise games, but I never looked much into it... probably on purpose because UbiSoft more recent in-game's monetization business practices make me awe in horror. :baa:

I only bought the technology time saver pack for Rogue and Black Flag, but ended up finding the chests anyway as you get money from them.

AC Unity and up have their Helix stores, but DLCs cannot be purchased with it.

Kinda wish they didnt bundle the time saver DLC with the "all dlc" bundle. :/
