Illustrious Pirates Pack
Hi everyone
I purchased the Illustrious Pirates Pack a while ago and now I'm back to the game and want to replay it again.....
I didn't know I had to activate the DLC key on my Uplay account
once done I had no way to download or install it....can you help me with that ?
I heard Ubisoft is not allowing players to download the dlcs but how the heck am I supposed to play something I've paid for ???

DLC Gold edition issue
I've purchased the gold edition for the dlc after previously owning the base game and the dlc won't show up for me. I understand that there are others experiencing this problem and that its been around for awhile. Does anyone know of a way to fix this?

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE. I've made a support thing with ubisoft and it's been escalated to the development team, I'll let you know if this gets fixed for me and how I went about doing it. But if you fix it before me then please tell xD

When i first bought the game i got the gold edition, but used the normal key. I used the gold key a few days ago for the first time and it all worked good for me. Is there anything else that could be causing this?

More than likely its something to do with a conversion from steam to ubisoft that neither party has paid attention to due to the fact that black flag is such an old game

I bought the standard edition when the game first released, then a few years later I really wanted the DLCs so I permanently removed the game from my steam library (via account settings) so I could buy it again, but the gold edition this time (Steam didn't let me purchase the gold edition since I already had the base edition, that's why I had to permanently remove it first).

But the DLCs weren't activated for me, I still had the same base game content. So I contacted Ubi support. After 3 months and many many back-and-forth, mostly useless and ridiculous troubleshooting (like reinstalling the game, 100 percenting the base game, taking many screenshots etc), the support conceded that there was some sort of mistake and changed some of my account settings on their side. That finally got my DLC contents to work, but my basegame save was also corrupted (wasn't an issue since I had already moved on to the next few AC games at that time).

TL:DR try unchecking the Freedom cry dlc in the dlc manager.

I had the same problem with my Ubisoft+ subscription. (I am doing a franchise run btw)
but i cant remover or uncheck any dlc on the ubisoft launcher. so i hade to test this on steam.

before i downloaded the game i unchecked the freedom cry dlc, and that fix it for me.

now I dont know if you can uncheck the dlc if you already downloaded it and if that work.
so I leave that fore everyone to try out and see if it work.

To answer your last question:
Yes you can ;)

Whenever you hit that "installed DLC" you can check and uncheck the DLC's you have: when unchecking the game will "update" and remove the DLC you unchecked...

When you go to your library and click the game, you see the DLC menu on the right side (sometimes you have to scroll a bit down).

There you can click: see list or see store:
Click "see list" and look at the list: if there is a checkmark before it it is installed; if not, then.....

*drum roll*

then it is not installed: if you wish to install it: simply click the box to checkmark it and it will "update" your game :D

hello there! i bought the season pass for the game but the extra content was not accessible to me either. apparently the only thing that can be done is to message the ubisoft support team through their live chat function and get a refund</3

Do you have 2 versions in your Ubisoft connect?
Or
When starting from steam: you have to pick a deluxe version or the normal one?
In these cases always choose the normal version. ignore the deluxe.
All DLC's except the freedom cry will still be there.


Note that it only is "tested" with the DLC that is bought seperate (by me).
I have no idea how it works for those who bought the deluxe version right from the start.
