New to AC. Can I start with this one?
I never played any Assassin Creed title. This would be the first one, because I'm into pirates thanks to Sea of Thieves.
Is it ok if Black Flag is my first AC title to be played?

Thanks in advance.

All games are independent, there's a back story that evolves through out the entire series but you don't need to know it to enjoy any of the entries.

Yes, it's one of the best.

it was my first one AC also ,definitely can be played separately from others ,but all are worthy check :)
Honestly black flag would work good even w/o connection to assasin plot :)

I recommend you start with the ezio trilogy as thats that'll most likely jump start your love for the series

Ezio trilogy is a good start (AC2, Brotherhood, Revelations). Skipping the first game in the franchise is ok. The recap at the beginning of AC2 does a pretty good job summing it all up.

Ezio Trilogy gets you familiar with many of the "present day" characters.

If you don't care about Desmond's story, Black Flag starts just after Desmond does his stuff.

this is the only one i liked and it's because of the sailing and pirate stuff

ezio is best for stealth but black flag is by far most fun

Yes, you can start with AC4. There are a couple of references to the earlier games, but nothing you wouldn't miss, but there is a spoiler or two here and there regarding the modern-day storyline. This game and Rogue are the most fun out of the entire series in my opinion, but I recommend all of them.

If you go to play AC3 (which takes place during the American Revolutionary War) I'd get it on console because if you get it for PC, Ubisolft will make you buy AC: Odyssey AND the DLC for Odyssey in order to get the code to unlock AC3. Unless you plan on getting Odyssey and its DLC anyways, that is. Oh and you need to run Odyssey and its DLC at least once (don't need to play it, just run it) in order to get the code for AC3.

Happy plundering matey!
