What If We Got It Free On Uplay?

They gave the game away a while ago. Can I buy Gold here and it upgrades or will I be unable to play because I already own the base free version?

It will add AC IV a second time to your uplay library, the saves will not transfer though. (You might be able to manualy copy them over, I havn't tried that myself). So you will have 2 copies in uplay 1 steam gold edition and 1 uplay standard edition.

Becuz you've got the base game on UPlay, getting the DLC on Steam won't work.

The gold edition isn't just the dlc, he will get a new version of the game in uplay with the dlc.

Having both on Uplay and Steam is a pain in the ... Last year I got AC3 free from Ubisoft Anniversary after having it completed on Steam. Now everytime I start the game from steam Uplay asks me which version do I want to play (both options having the exact same name) and the savegames are not compatible so If I run the wrong version it tells me my savegame is corrupt and I have to exit the game and try to choose the right option again. I would like to erase the game from my Uplay library and only have the Steam one.

What Gold version? There's no Gold for AC4. Does Digital Deluxe contain Season Pass?
