Heavy shot bugged
I noticed that I can't get heavy shot from boarding enemy ships. It's listed as part of what you have looted from the ship, but doesn't really get added to your storage.

The only way i can get heavy shot from enemy ships is when i really sink it and loot half of what they carry.

Maybe same issue exists for mortar and fire barrels, but i rarely use these two.

Hmm.... A similiar thing happened to me. I had my wood full. And after that ı boarded many man o wars and but i didn't get any recourses. So i think i you have mortar or fire barrel are full this bug may happen. But i think nowadays these are more bugged. But it seems like a small bug. Just sink some brigs and do your job. It is unfixable as I know.

If the resources (including rum and sugar, not just ammunition) you get from boarding a ship exceeds the amount of resources you can carry, then you won't get any at all. If you are near maximum capacity, you have to outright sink the ship and loot the flotsam in order to get the cargo.

I realize this is a few years old, but they apparently still have not fixed this. It does indeed happen with both Mortar and Heavy Shot. I never use fire barrels, but probably does the same to those.
I had 17 Mortar Shot and 36 Heavy shot.
Boarded ship that had 6 Mortar
Still have 17 mortar even though it showed in the loot breakdown that i had gained 6 more.
Another ship had 6 Heavy Shot and still had 36 after boarding.
Only way to get is to sink the ship and get half.

As of 30.05.2024, this bug still exists. Lost the interest to play now coz of too much farming needed
