AC4 slow as ♥♥♥♥♥, an idiot needs help

Been playing for a few days - I know, I'm like 4 years late - and it was going pretty smoothly. I can't claim that I know a lot about PCs, but I still wanted to play the game, got it cheap at a summer sale, it looks cool and is about pirates, yadayada. But as soon as I entered a bigger area it went to crap, sending Kenway running in slowmo.
I've noticed a lot of people having this issue, but I've found no solution - maybe my laptop is just too ♥♥♥♥♥♥.
If anyone is feeling patient I could really use a hand :>

I put all the settings down ofc - and let's see if I can get the specs right here:

It's an ASUS X302UA
- CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6200U
- 8 GB
- Graphics card: ....... uh, 'Intel(R) HD Graphics 520 by Intel'

Lol no worries. Try to stick with mostly medium settings in game. Textures can probably stay at high but everything else should be lowered to medium. Shadows on low possibly. Ssao for ambient occlusion. Anti aliasing smaa or go even lower with fxaa. Fiddle around with that and let me know how it goes. What kind of framerate are you looking to achieve?

lol medium settings on Intel HD 520. his graphics are not even suitable for this game but if he does not mind sub 30 fps a great deal of the time then he could get by at 720p and all low.

See that part where I asked what kind of framerate he was trying to get? Obviously intgrated graphics are not going to perform well but you don't know what other people consider playable. And obviously again being on a laptop without a dedicated gpu we can reasonably assume that he is most likely not trying to play at 1080p. I have some friends that used to play dc universe at probably 15fps. Good enough for them because they got to play. Quit telling people what's suitable for them. Go spread your toxic genius somewhere else. If you aint trying to help then what are you doing here?

Get the ♥♥♥♥ over yourself. At least I do bother to actually do some research before I comment on things most of the time. All it took was literally a few seconds to see that all low settings at 720P would struggle to keep above the mid 20s quite a bit. And I clearly said that if he doesn't mind sub 30fps quite often then go ahead and play it.
