Low fps and stuttering

I'm having weird lags even in a menu. FPS are locked at 60fps and sometimes it dropes to 50. I don't know what to do. becouse my PC could handle it without problem.

This could be a effective fix because it worked for me when it happened to me :

"once in game hit ctrl_alt_delete and go to details. Right click on ac4bfsp.exe and click set affinity.
uncheck the last cpu core and hit ok. Then go back and re-enable it. This helps balance the CPU load more efficiently.

If your playing in 1080p you should max this game out."

The next most intensive thing after PhysX, Soft Shadows and Vsync (c'mon Ubisoft) is probably the HBAO+ or the AA.I moved my AA to TXAA x2 and now it seems solid, YMMV.

disable vsync from the game and nvidia configuration set vsync mode fast... works for me i can get 60 fps without problems

Yeah, they have a really broken implementation of vsync that causes huge FPS drops. Kind of ridiculous imho.

Just wanna say:

If you cant fix this problem, then it is not a big deal actually.
At least is not running in like 15 fps or lower.

I have all graphics settings on max with Vsync off. Motion blur is off also because I hate it and turn it off in all games. I do see the occasional drop to 50, but it doesn't stutter. I have a gsync monitor though, so that might help. Games doesn't seem to be too demanding at all, too bad it's stuck at 60FPS max.

I installed the game yesterday and it happens the same issue to me.The fps are blocked at 60, even with the vsyn off, and I have fps drops to 25 and eventually slutter.

I have an SLI GTX 1070 and an i7-6700k so I don´t think the pc is the problem =(

Bruh I just started playing it I have gold edition and it stutters and freezes to 5 fps drops and I run a pretty good pc setup B550 F Asus ROG mobo, 3900x cpu and 1080TI gpu i did turn off motion, turned off vsyn, physx, and put everything else on normal setting and still it gives me 5 fps drop out of nowhere while playing the game and Assassin Creed 2 and whatever else before that I deleted because controller options are horrid this one is good on controller settings but the constant lag and fps dropping below 20 is insane any idea??

I have exactly the same. Just plain unrunnable. Have played this game illegally before without any issues on a laptop and on my old pc maybe even something like 10 years ago without any problems and now i bought it legally with a relative good pc and it is unrunnable.
