Locate James Kidd
♥♥♥♥ everyone at Ubisoft who had a hand in making this mission. This mission alone makes me regret my purchase. Not the fact that it's a terrible port & I haven't been able to play the game for two years because I needed a new PC capable of running this crap port, but this one mission that's just aggrivating to mind numbing degrees.

I'm in the area with the lake & aligator & it's my 30th or so attempt. This is just bad level design. Any mission that FORCES you to be stealthy & fails you when your not should NOT exist, especially to this degree where patrols are almost random with little to no thought put into their patrol paths at all & I swear, there were less guards when I first played the mission but now for some reason there's twice as many after I failed it a few times. Not only that, but this is the FIRST real stealth mission in the game & it's difficulty is through the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ roof.

You should try using sleep darts, also you can kill guards you just don't want to get into a open fight.

You don't get sleep darts this early in the game.

Ah sorry I ddin't remember where this mission was at, I just assumed you had them aswell. Could you maybe say which mission it is? at which sequence? then I will go and try it out for myself and I can share with you how I did it.

The Mission is "Locate James Kidd" and I just now beat it after looking at a guide & half a dozen more tries. Now I'm in the next mission to save prisoners, which is not as bad but still pretty bad. It's like Ubisoft puts no effort into how they design missions at all, which is a surprise because the actual game itself is great but these missions suck all kinds of ass.

Ah I remember that mission now, you can knock out the guards. That makes it allot easier I remember doing exactly the same thing when I played that mission for the first time trying it without knocking them out, which indeed is really hard.

The next mission shouldn't be to hard tho, you have the sleep darts now, you should shoot a dart at the shooter by the prisonars and then you can go in and kill the other silently or just run in and fight.

wow, I just made that mission yesterday. In one try. Just by being patient and wait. What you have lack, instead of a bad design, is skill for sneaking missions.
And of course I'm not defending Ubisoft. The game has more bugs than the biology department at University. But you should revise your strategy

I just beat it today, it might be the fatigue from this week just affecting my attitude and gameplay. That mission is not a cake walk, tho. Just google. "Locate James Kid" and you will find a lot more complaints about it. I found a bunch just looking for a guide.
