Abstergo sucks

This entire subplot makes no fu**ing sense. The game comes to screeching halt for an unskippable cut scene just as you're getting into the flow. I've googled it and most players aren't even sure what the hell the animus fragments do.

There's more of this Abstergo crap in the game isn't there?

You need to grab every single Animus fragment, including the ones on uncharted islands or you won't be able to progress.

And yes, there's at least 8 hours worth of walking around the Abstergo office. Enjoy!

But seriously is there any reason to grab those things? I would hope you at least get an upgrade.

Yeah unfortunately there is a fair bit of abstergo crap to chore through would have been better if they had just left out that bollocks to make a decent pirate game although imo the whole series would have been better without abstergo full stop.

1. The Abstergo narrative is minimal in this game compared to the others. The only long sequences you have to endure are the first and the last. There's a couple in the middle but they're hardly 5 minutes long each.

2. The abstergo fragments are useless unless you care about achievements and in-game cheats.

Makes no damn sense to begin with. I spent 90% of the time trying to skip their crap to get back to pirating. I only did what I had to and ignored everything else. It doesn't make any sense and just gets worse as things progress through different games
