Cloud sync was causing issues with save files when this game launched so they just removed it instead of fixing the problem.
All the other games you mentioned in the op still have cloud support.
Not any longer. Ubisoft ate my save files too. Guess I won't be playing this game again.
Do you still have access to the old PC that you played Black Flag on? If so, the save files are probably still there on the disk. You can easily copy them to a USB and transfer them to your new PC.
If you play on Steam, the saves are located: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\[User ID]\437
If you bought the game on the Ubisoft store, the saves are located: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\[User ID]\273
If you installed the game to a custom folder, you'll have to look in that folder instead.
Copy the save files from there, then go to the same location on the new PC and transfer the files to that folder. You should then be able to access them from the new PC. This worked for me when I transferred the game from an old PC to a new one.
Hope this helps!
