Its a annoying level for so early in the game but its a good crash course in learning the AI. Example. I learned that in this game the guards can't hear you running. Where in prior titles if I was running towards a guard's back they would spin around before I could reach them. Also I could run from cover to cover and was able to learn how much time I had to get out of sight if the guard saw me but before they became fully alert. At one point they'll shrug it off, or they'll head towards the last spot they saw me (which always gets them killed) of they go into full freakout if I wasn't quick enough.
Snipers suck though. Later in the game you get a quiet weapon to deal with them.
I 100% that mission everytime. The biggest advantage you have is patience.
