Stealthy lengendary ship capturing

With regular ships, you can jump off your shipa nd climb ontot heirs, eliminating it stealthily. I tried with a legendary ship, but it shot me when I got near. is it possible to stealth swim to it, or will it detect you?

No, thats not possible. You can't go from yoru ship while in battle with a legendary ship. What is possible though is a glitch where you press S at the moment you get the cutscence and then you do leave the wheel of you ship exactly at the moment the cutscene ends. You can then wait for the legendary ship to come close to you and it won't fire. You can then climb onboard their ship but you will only see 1 crewman and thats the sailer. If you kill him and go back to your own wheel you will see you have won.

However I wouldn't really reommend doing that since those legendary ships are quite hard and fun to battle with.
