after some time playing, the menu got bugged? i cant seem to start a campain or skirmish map, tried to check files, re install, ecc any suggestions?

When i start Warlords Battlecry: The Protectors of Etheria, the game opens in a small window, as soon as i click something in the main menu, the game crashes and i am back on the desktop, as for normal warlords battlecry 3 there is no issue. any indeas how to make the game work ? I tried to start it in compablilty mode with windows xp also i run the game as administrator....

I had positive income of gems I produced exclusively Sprites, Pegasi and Fearie Dragons, These three units should consume only Gold and some Metal But I was constantly out of Gems Not sure if it is some enemy's debuff, that make me lose gems over time or a bug....

Not that the mod is bad or anything but it would be nice if whatever makes the modded version work could just be put into the base game and have it work, sort of like just a stability mod while keeping the basic principles of the game intact. The mod works fine on my average pc but the regular game often crashes mid battle. Somehow I have a level 16 hero in the main game, I think I got it to work a long time ago with a bunch of workarounds etc. The mod is not bad, just there are things like items I do...
