Like the previous game, if there is going to be a preload, it will happen about two days before release day.

Midnight where? If it releases Midnight where I live, it will be the middle of the day somewhere else.

Its quite a chunk, HZD requires 72GB, pre-load was not neccessary but still happend, HFW is gonna be roughly 150gigs thats where a pre-load starts to get a core requirement, so they doubled the amount this makes alot of sense the world is bigger and even has diving now additionally the DLC area is also quite big big, much bigger in size than the banu area of zero dawn, also lets not forget almost all previous machines made it back into the new one (one faro excluded thats gone) as well as plenty of new ones all along with new animations sounds textures and whatnot the 150gb is not too much at all it just shows once again that game dont get smaller they get bigger and bigger.

Preload date = Release date - 2 days.

anyways, in my opinion preload is not that great. A lot of time is spent by just unzipping the damn preload files at time of unlock. Better to load / download post release date

Depends on one's connection. If someone is stuck using a slow connection, then pre-load is a good option for them. They are actually the intended target for pre-loading.

It also helps the rest of us by relieving some of the load on servers.
