Voices cutting out

The voices will randomly cut out and i cant hear anything but ambient sound. Also when this happens the game likes to freeze when I enter the main menu (since the only fix seems to be to restart the game).
Anyone know how to fix this?

It happened to me too suddenly the voice cut out and no sound. I had to quit the game and restart.

Not a permanent fix, but I've found that when this error occurs, pause the game until you hear the current voice line spoken (Don't tab away from the screen). Should only be 20-30 seconds, and then the rest of the lines should be fine for a while.
Would love for a proper fix to occur though.

Having same issue. Dialogue cuts out, but I can still hear ambiant noise and music. Thank goodness for subtitles, but very annoying.

The same thing happened to me several times. I hope they fix it quickly because playing like this is really annoying.

Doesnt seem to do anything for me. I've waited several minutes without the dialogue sound coming back.

I am having the same problem with the voice cutting out. Still have the other sounds. It seems to be happening more often, like it happened yesterday at least 6 times. I will try pausing the game to see if that fixes the problem.

pausing doesn't get the voice back. Having subtitles helps but I am also loosing the map which is really more frustrating than loosing the voice.

Make sure your sound drivers have been updated if there is an update on your MB or PC manufacturers website.

For everyone still having this problem: I had the exact same issue which kept happening every 10-60 minutes, forcing me to restart the game and sometimes even my PC because it froze everything. Reinstalling the game fixed it for me.
