Save Error
Anyone else getting a save error when they try to save, or when it's supposed to autosave?

Problems with saving games can occur when write access to the Windows Documents folder is blocked. For example, if Controlled Folder Access in Windows is enabled, or if other software is blocking write access to the documents folder.

Try disabling this feature or remove the restriction from the Documents folder.

Game doesn't save
I have applied for a refund and as soon as the problem is solved I would be happy to buy it again, just not like this. Don't keep a game for 60.-- that is uploaded unfinished

SAVE OPERATION COULD NOT BE COMPLETED
After starting the game, a message appears “SAVE OPERATION COULD NOT BE COMPLETED THE PROGRESS WILL NOT BE SAVED”. The game does not save my progress so I'm stuck watching the introduction every time I start the game. Does anybody know how to fix this issue?

Game will not save
The whole time I play, it says that the save function is not working. I read that I would have to beat the intro, and it would let me manually save my game. That didn't work either. I just closed my game and lost all of my progress. Any idea what is causing this?

I have the same .I have not even a map in documents from the game where the game can save.

This is OneDrive problem. It can happen after uninstalling OneDrive when it was started at least once. I solved it by rewriting all registry entries pointing to %userroot%\OneDrive\Documents back to %userroot%\Documents.

How does this relate to onedrive? Just curious?

You'd think saving to "My Documents" would be well tested.

If you install OneDrive your documents are linked to it, instead of your local folder. I assume if you're not logged in then your documents would be unable to be accessed.

My documents are in Users /Local. There is no folder of Horizon in it
I've been struggling with this too for the past couple of hours and have filed a ticket to Nixxes for this. I have removed OneDrive from my system but I'll check all registry entries.

In my case I have a setup where all documents are saved to a dedicated partition J:\ , and the My Documents folder has been set up to redirect there.

Never had any problems with any other PC games including Ratchet and Clank and Spiderman Remastered , both Nixxes PC ports

Going to give this a try now

Same problem here. I uninstalled avast, turned off controlled folder access, signed in to OneDrive. Nothing worked

Hi

in my case helps this fix, try it)

For now I have found a workaround - albeit an inconvenient one , and that is playing the game under a completely new user account in Windows.

Now can save the game and have some progress , but I've had to set up a new local user (so we have the default folder setup) and sign in to Steam again. Thankfully Steam has cloud saves so it can carry over to my default account.

So disappointing as I'm usually a "patient gamer" and this is the first time I've bought a game day one , and will the be last. I understand the complexities of PC games , and the setup I have is fairly unusual but still...
