Problems with saving games can occur when write access to the Windows Documents folder is blocked. For example, if Controlled Folder Access in Windows is enabled, or if other software is blocking write access to the documents folder.
Try disabling this feature or remove the restriction from the Documents folder.

In case you use OneDrive, make sure you are logged in.
How does this relate to onedrive? Just curious?
You'd think saving to "My Documents" would be well tested.
If you install OneDrive your documents are linked to it, instead of your local folder. I assume if you're not logged in then your documents would be unable to be accessed.
In my case I have a setup where all documents are saved to a dedicated partition J:\ , and the My Documents folder has been set up to redirect there.
Never had any problems with any other PC games including Ratchet and Clank and Spiderman Remastered , both Nixxes PC ports
Going to give this a try now
in my case helps this fix, try it)

So disappointing as I'm usually a "patient gamer" and this is the first time I've bought a game day one , and will the be last. I understand the complexities of PC games , and the setup I have is fairly unusual but still...
