Im still deciding if this is worth a clown award or not... Atleast he tried it a bit but it still looks like cheap bait.
You have devs that release an instant #1 hit game before release I feel like the devs would feel like they wouldn't have to try as hard next time as they will just ride the first games coat tails.
I liked H:ZD so I bought it but because I liked the sound of the game and story not because of hype and it being a #1 game. I like to think of myself as not a sheep!
It has even reached number 9 in the top 100 games on Steam, so really no that bad, despite the above reasons for possible lower sales.

End of 1st quarter is always the most important result of any company with shareholders.
Releasing a game around 20 March is just the obvious economical deadline for this reason : early enough to skyrocket quarter results and to project results for all year, and latest date to solve technical issues.
Shareholders always bank on their company and the best way to deliver regarding themselves, they can't predict what other companies will do.
