Fire whoever comes up with these release dates
Horizon Zero Dawn got overshadowed by BOTW.
Forbidden West got demolished by Elden Ring.
And now PC port is going to be forgotten as soon as Dragons Dogma 2 reviews come out.
For those who still think DD2 is niche and FW is the bigger game, here's some fact for you, DD2 was already in Top sellers for the last few weeks and is now #1 Global Top seller where as FW is not even in top 10 as of now.
Why is Guerrilla always sending the Horizon games to compete with these huge genre defining phenomena? And then they are going to blame PC gamers for not supporting the game instead of firing that double agent in their studio who comes up with these self-sabotaging release dates every time!

I'm pretty sure Sony knows more about this than "The ChoomSlayer" on Steam but we appreciate your feedback. :tgrin:

Im still deciding if this is worth a clown award or not... Atleast he tried it a bit but it still looks like cheap bait.

it's called competition, they might enjoy it, it might encourage the devs to work harder next time.

You have devs that release an instant #1 hit game before release I feel like the devs would feel like they wouldn't have to try as hard next time as they will just ride the first games coat tails.

I liked H:ZD so I bought it but because I liked the sound of the game and story not because of hype and it being a #1 game. I like to think of myself as not a sheep!

The game has already been out for two years on the PS4/5. Those who want it on PC are either die hard fans or don't own a Ps4/5.

It has even reached number 9 in the top 100 games on Steam, so really no that bad, despite the above reasons for possible lower sales.

What is Dragon Dogma 2?

IDK. I preferred HZD over Zelda and I think a lot of people hyping DD2 are going to be massively disappointed.

I think DD2 will be a flop, it will most certainly not be "genre defining". Looks pretty messy to me.

Devs have an ego

Why do you care? Just buy the game and enjoy it. Or don't

It's a purely economical issue
End of 1st quarter is always the most important result of any company with shareholders.

Releasing a game around 20 March is just the obvious economical deadline for this reason : early enough to skyrocket quarter results and to project results for all year, and latest date to solve technical issues.

Shareholders always bank on their company and the best way to deliver regarding themselves, they can't predict what other companies will do.
