Was bored in HZD; give this one a try?

I dont think HZD was bad just got bored and always something else i would rather play with my time. That and the stiff acting...but that seems improved (mostly..). Should i give it a try? Time is the more limited resource for me.

No. If you didn't like HZD, this game is more of the same. There isn't enough different to make this game "Wow!" if you thought the first game was "Meh."

Give it a pass.

(I played this game extensively on PS5, and am looking forward to it on PC. For me, HZD and this game are very fun games.)

I know #1 already said it, if the first was boring this one will prob be also. It does have cool mechanics and what not; but it won't make the game less boring if the first was also!

I would say I did like it more than the first but get it on sale to try it out!

If you don't like long games, then maybe it's not right for you. Personally I enjoyed it. The ending was kind of lame though. To me, Horizon Zero Dawn was awesome! Horizon Forbidden West is better in almost every way. Graphics are better, other kinds of game play, inventory system improved, better upgrade system and more gear.

No, forbidden west is a much worse experience than the first outside of the cauldrons. Story is pathetic, they changed melee combat by adding an unecessary armor system and most of what made Dawn 1 somewhat believable got plainly erased here.

The DLC elevates the graphics but you can tell that the writer of the 1st game bailed. Imho if you want a really good Sony open world game just wait for Ghost of Tsushima which actually is amazing

As other have said, if you didn't enjoy the first, then this one isn't likely to be enjoyable either. May want to look for other games coming out that you know will hold your attention and intrest.

I was disappointed in Ghost of Tsushima. Forced to play 2x as well, since the two different styles lead to different scenes and ending. World was very empty to me. I ended up not getting the DLC because of it.

I may get it for $20 when it goes on sale, but not worth spending another $60, imho.

No. Imagine zero dawn, but bigger and more of everything. I've completed the game and dlc on ps5, and it just has more of everything.

I’m definitely going to give GoT a try. It does seem a bit more what I like in an open world.

Thanks for the responses. Maybe I’ll try HFW someday when it’s on a deep sale but I’ll play Dragons Dogma 2 this month.

I also think you should give it a pass. If you did not like the gameplay & combat-loop you problaby wont like this either. It happens, every game doesnt suit everyone.
