Never used OHM. I use Cakewalk and FL Studio. Most probably, Guitar Rig 5 (Native Instrument) is not supported by OHM. Even if it says VST supported, it's not a guarantee.
What error message are you getting? Access violation?

Well, if Guitar Rig doesn't work then that sucks.

dumation: Guitar Rig should work in Ohm Studio, we have a lot of projects using it. Does it fail during the scan, not showing up in the plug-in list? Or does it fail when you drag and drop it from the plug-in list to the mixer view?

Yeah, I'm having the same issue. I added the Guitar Rig Folder to my VST list through the preferences in Ohm and restarted like I was directed to, but after the restart, GR5 is not in the list. Also, an unrelated question, I'm using the Rocksmith USB guitar cable. Am I able to use that like I do in Guitar Rig and audacity?

I would be happy to buy the pro edition if this worked. same problem. asio detects the rocksmith cable. works in guitar rig 5 in isolation. ohm studio detects guitar rig and loads up but no input/no output from the rocksmith cable in ohm studio.

Try to plug your cable before running Ohm Studio. Then go in the preferences and check the audio input properties.

AFAIK you need to use ASIO4ALL driver with the rocksmith cable. Here's a tutorial here:
http://delendanet.blogspot.fr/2012/10/using-rocksmith-usb-cable-with-asio.html

ASIO4ALL is supported in Ohm Studio exactly like in any other audio software but you have to make sure the sound isn't cut by another application. In the getting started[www.ohmstudio.com] part of our on line documentation you'll find some more info on this.

About your guitar rig 5 issue: please understand we need more detail to help. Did you follow the instruction, installed the 32 bit vst version in a folder setup in ohm studio preferences ?

This software doesn't work with so many plugins, waves won't even load, them that do don't mixdown properly. This software hasn't been fixed since the beta but now they charge for what was free in beta. They don't respect others copyright and make you sign away rights to anything you create on the software when you agree terms. This buggy crap shouldn't even be on steam.

ILikeSquirtlez is given me the feeling not even using an original version of guitar rig. I mean who in hell who bought guitar rig would not run his guitar throught an audio interface and instead use an usb cable? Very wierd if you ask me. If you wanne make music, make it the right way. Just my 2 cents.

You'd be surprised: quite a lot of people, actually. And once they've put it to work, they get an entry point... enough to realise they like it enough to treat themselves with an audio interface, maybe ? :)

Same problem here, it is NOT the driver because I can use GR just fine outside of Ohm Studio. It is the plugin.
dumation 14 DIC 2013 a las 15:36
Think i found it.Maybe . i downloaded Ohm studio from official site. Steam was using same driver as asio....

O yes began using usb cable from Rocksmith and its better for detecting. got to adjust latency doh

We've bought a Rocksmith usb cable and it looks like it works fine within Ohm Studio. We'll try to write a step by step guide. One tip: plug your cable before launching Ohm Studio.

Thanks for all the support! You guys are awesome! My friend in Hawaii and myself (in Florida) have always wanted to play together and now we can. And I don't run my guitar through my audio interface because I leave it at the church I play at, hooked up to our OCD sound guy's recording setup. I don't do anything more extensive than goof around in Guitar Rig and Rocksmith at home, so the USB works well enough for that, so why not?
