How do I login?

Can't believe I am asking such a stupid question, but how do I log in? I already have an account on ohmstudio.com, how do I log into it? When I launch it, a "create an account" dialog appears and I can't see how to cancel - there are no options to do anything useful except exit the program under the menus (that I can see).

Sorry Lee, you can't for now. You'll have to create a new account for steam and link it to your steam account. If you don't have too much projects you can share them from one account to the other. Later on we'll probably allow a more open system but for now it has to be that way...

Oh, well, bugger! I have only just created both accounts. Can I get the website-registered account removed and the Steam account renamed?

I'm having exactly the same problem. I created an account on the website, liked what I saw, bought the software on Steam, and now I can't even start it, because it doesn't support an option for having an existing account, or even specifying a new username on the account creation. It must match your Steam username, and it must not already exist. So it won't even start for me and I can't fix it.

I see Mauve's reply; I will contact that email address and ask them to rename or delete the account I created on the website.

It might well be my machine, but since merging the two accounts I have issues with the app hanging during launch for 30-35 seconds and being unable to load projects (can't see a list of cloneable or public, and it sits there for a while creating a new one). Of course, as I am brand new to it, this may be normal, I am not sure, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't like that right after registering the Steam version. Official advice was "server overload", so I figure give it a week and try again.

Unfortunately this is general because of high traffic tied to steam release. The less people connected the best it works for now. That being said a fix is impending soon, we're on it.

I thought that would be the case hence "give it a week and try again" =) I am in no rush, though I am planning to buy a copy before the 16th (when the discount ends) as an Xmyth present, as the minimum requirements are OS X 10.5.8 and he has a pretty old machine.

ATM traffic is lower, and AFAWCT things work fine. We're bringing some updates server side that should better deal with steam's release traffic so we can postulate for the home again =)

A quick update to say that the aforementioned issues have not persisted, so whatever backend capacity you have added seems to have worked!

And a quick update from me to say after sending the email suggested by Mauve requesting my Ohm website account be deleted (so that the Steam installation could proceed with that same info), I'm in and all is well.

No, or at least, not yet. You have to decide if you want to keep your website account, or if you want to keep your Steam account, or if you want two accounts (in which case you need do nothing). If you want to merge one with the other,

i too am having this issue please fix
