Well, as the title says the game does not react to anything of my controller, other games that support controllers work just fine and I installed all the drivers. Need help because I can't play this game with the keyboard.

You want to download the x360ce.App-2.1.2.191.zip and x360ce_libraries_r642_x86.zip
Extract and stick all the files into the games folder, Steam\steamapps\common\Rogue Legacy and then run the x360ce.exe application. It will create a .ini, then you can save your settings. I get an error saying the versions don't match, but everything works fine.

@ace0spades: It's unlikely to be the software you installed for your controller. We recently submitted a new version of the game (v1.0.10) that may be the problem. A hotfix has been uploaded that may address your issues with the latest patch.

You can use JoyToKey to map the ingame keyboard controls to any USB Joystick, not that sexy but it works fine.

Well, I tried both the x360ce and the joytokey files, but the game still recognized neither of them. Any hope for a hotfix soon? Playing a metroidvania with a keyboard is... suboptimal, to understate ite.

I tried peacku option and it worked for me! You only have to configure the keys in joytokey and open the program when playing.

I was able to get my Logitech Precision to work by using the "Logitech Profiler" that's installed with your driver to assign keyboard keys to all of the buttons.
