Logitech Precision (No analog sticks version) controller not functioning
Hi,

I have a Logitech precision controller, the model that lacks analog sticks. The game does not recognize it regardless of the Direct Input settings value. Other computer software recognizes it fine though.

Keyboard and wired Xbox360 controller work fine, but I'd rather my Logitech's Directional Pad :/

Is it just the directional pad that doesn't work, or all buttons?

All buttons don't work :/

The only USB devices I ave connected are: Xbox360 Corded Controller, Logitech Precision Controller and USB Microsoft Comfort 3000 Optical Mouse.

Keyboard is PS/2.

I've tried disabling the Xbox360 controller in device manager and that didn't cause the game to detect the logitech controller either.

Oh, if you have both controllers plugged in the Xbox 360 one will override always. The problem is the Xbox one uses XInput, and other ones use DirectInput, and for performance reasons we only poll one.

Honestly, I'm not sure what happens if you only disabled it from the device manager. To make it work, it may be necessary to unplug all controllers, plug the logitech one in, and then load the game.

Oh okay, well wouldn't it make more sense to have the Direct Input option in the game also switch which kind of device to Poll for? And then you could rename the option to "Gamepad Type" and have it toggle between "Xbox360" and "Other".

I also realized I had disabled the incorrect device from Device Manager when I last tried to get my Logitech controller working. Disabling the correct device should work, but it requires a restart of the PC for the change to take effect and if it always requires a restart when disabling it then that would be annoying. Reaching behind the computer tower to physically unplug/replug the controller is also pretty undesirable.

Consider the above to be a suggestion.
