Launch Error - Crashlog says Profile1 not found

I've been trying to find the solution to this problem but I can't play the game. When I try to launch it, it crashes with an error and the log says "Could not find file 'C:\Users\username\Documents\SavedGames\RogueLegacy\RogueLegacyStorageContainer\AllPlayers\Profile1'."

Install steam in Disk D and install the game in Disk D

limit game max fps to 60 fps or 40 fps

turn on cloud save on steam

make sure you have steam overlay turned on

check the documents and see if you have those files.

If nothing works you can go to the discord , contact someone and get someone save file
the file is .rcdat and it has 1kb file size

(make sure you only install from someone you trust and double check if there is no viruses hidden within.)

It's sort of a sad thing, this bug. Not sure how this happens, but I did fix it.

1. Go to where the profile1 is missing
2. make a directory there called profile1

I had to also add 2 more directories for profile2 and profile3 before it worked.

I'd guess its something to do with a cloud saved created a long time ago and a save system that's been changed somehow.

Anyway, @Ned this should sort you out.

well, this gets the game to start, but not actually work. It won't save and then it crashes when you die.

Ok, in case anyone comes here, I figured this out. It's a windows security thing. Check your windows 10 notifications for blocked behavior. Windows is blocking the app from writing the save files. Fix that and everything is fine.
