The grace runes are key though, they bring down the bosses stats greatly when you have multiple ones equipped.
Especially against the Endboss the Barbarian is borderline OP. If the Boss uses his Blade Spells in Phase 2 you just have to use the Shout and they all disappear, making that fight a complete Joke.
Another way that worked in a new game+ was a spell-sword, throwing empowered chakrams.
Either way, try using vampire runes, so any furies caught in your attacks will give you HP.
The second time with a barbarian, 3 haste runes, 2 dash runes and the sky cape for 2 air jumps.
The third time i had a spellsword with the axe, Same runes and items as the barbarian.
From those three i consider the spellthief the best class to deal with that boss fight. I think it took less than two minutes.
I beat the last boss with a giant hokage with timestop.
Paladin is good if you want an enjoyable fight.
