What do Hermes Boots do?

I took no damage from spikes when I had mine, but then again that could have been a glitch. I wish the game told us what the items did.

Hermes boots allow you to jump higher, Not taking damage from spikes is from a character trait I believe called P.A.D (it will say something about how their feet are numb)

Erm you sure about that? I just had a character with PAD and I died by landing on spikes.

The trait from what I gathered works only for hidden spikes, I don't remember my character being immune to the huge visible ones, except for one time I had the Hermes.

I can explain actually: hermes boots dont' allow higher jumps, as far as i know. They prevent ALL spike damage, including stationary ones. P.A.D just protects against activated spike traps (the pop up ones) since they don't activate.

one thing to note though, if you don't land on TOP of the spikes, and hit them with your head while using herme's boots, you still take damage.

Hermes boots make you invulnerable to the big spikes (the one that are always out).

Take caution! They ONLY prevent danage from stationary spikes on the ground!
You will still take damage from spike traps and spikes on the walls or the ceiling!
