yes you can use a wheel with this game but be sure to check if your wheel is supported by the game.
you can ask on for example the official ubi forum etc.

If your wheel is for example a G29/G920 it should work. Forcefeedback might bug around from time to time.

hey mate thanks i looked into it and re bought this game my wheel now works with it a secret for others struggling have a 360 controller plugged in first it detected right away after that ALSO WROTE YOU A N AMAZING REVIEW THANKS

hey bro hope you answer ik this was a couple years back but i got no straight answer if qhe G290 works and even now i cant get a straight answer nor how to connect it and i really rather not waste my money if it doesnt work or if any of them dont even work

I can confirm that the G290 is not officially supported with The Crew. While there is the potential that it might work, we wouldn't be able to give any support for this wheel.
