Another solution would be to use manual gearing and using that to keep revs down.
As soon as the car starts to loose traction, gear up.
Did it with a wheel so its sort of diffrent but i went slow through corners and then opened up on the straights. completed with <2sec to spare.. silver medal.
You're going to hate when they make you do it again in a couple of missions though. Seriously, I have just spent the last ten or so missions building a couple of vehicles that can go anywhere and this cheating game makes me use a Performance spec. Bollocks.
Yes, I've been doing it with manual gears but even then its still quite difficult because if you shift to a higher gear too soon you just won't accelerate enough
I have completed this mission now though, with about 1.5 sec to spare, but with my car level about 170 levels above what was recommended for this mission
Thank you for this, that car put me 30 seconds ahead of time when I passed the Finish, still got silver so ♥♥♥♥ that mission. Lamborghini couldn't do it.
The Skyline, with its All-Wheel Drive and its simple, 2.5L Inline-6 engine, despite it being Performance-spec, did far better, at a low enough level for the game to state that it would be "HARD", than my McLaren MP4-12C which was at an appropriate level for the mission.
