Uplay launcher won't let me log in - Please HELP

I have been having the stupidest problems with Uplay and I'm really starting to get sick of it. I bought the game through steam, I should be able to run the game through steam, but I won't rant about that right now.

Anyways, to the problem. Every time I play The Crew, it pulls up the Uplay login screen, but before it lets me put an email and password in, it automatically tries to log me in. But everytime it does this, it says "Login Failed" and "There's a problem with your internet connection." However, my internet is working just fine. I have a very strong wifi connection, and my wired connection works just fine. Nothing is stopping me from surfing the web. It gives me two options: "Try Again", or "Go Offline". The try again option does nothing but give me another failed login message, and when I attempt to go offline my login fails because inorder to use offline mode I would have had to have logged in to uplay previously (online).

I'm stuck. I can't get past the login screen and I've been waiting to play what I thought was going to be a fantastic new game. Any suggestions?

just try starting uplay without starting the crew via steam. Log in using your uplay-account - if you don't have an account yet just create one - you'll need an account anyway to play the crew.

After that, close uplay and try starting the crew again.

That's because uPlay is a freakin' disaster. I'm probably staying away from Ubisoft games until they remove it.

When I open the Uplay Launcher seperately and try to log in I get the same Login Failed message.

I freaking hate Ubisoft right now. I payed 85 freaking dollars to fight with uplay for like 6 hours. I haven't played a minute of the actual game.

for me I have rainbow six and when I try to login and link accounts says failed no matter what and if I don't link them says my steam user name owns this game and I cant play it any solutions

This post was started in 2014. Its 2016 December, and the problem is the same in the PC version
Am I missing something about the resolution of the issue?

Make sure your router is portforwarded to your PC

Remove some FIles them are empty. Itself with the crew in documents consider.
Afterwards this play restart and update uplay launcher. Then the Datein are full again. Then it would have to go again.

I found that if you go into the setting on the login screen i had always launch in offline mode on switching that off fixed the issue for me

To fix this problem, launch Uplay, then go to Setting, and check "Always start Uplay in offline mode". That seemed to solve the problem for me.

Just uninstall Uplay that comes with the game. Then download Uplay from Ubisoft website. Before reinstalling, make sure Background Intelligent Transfer and Windows Update sevices are set to at least manual. Uplay will then download the necessary Windows Update file.

If that still doesn't fix it, install IE 11 update. To find the link, you can Google for "Direct 3D 11.1 platform update". Look for Warner Brothers support site for Middle Earth games. There you can fiind the link.

The actual file name is: IE11-Windows6.1-x64-en-us
if you're using Windows 7 64 bit. Hope that helps.
