FPS low, 5-10 FPS on any settings GTX 850M. But Its working on integrated intel HD 4600 much more better.

My laptop:
i5-4200H @2.80GHz
12 GB RAM
NVIDIA GTX 850M - 4 GB

I spent couple days trying to figure whats wrong, coz actually people play even with lower specs, but I cant reach even around comfort FPS. Different drivers, settings for GPU, updated allmost 3 GB for my Win 8.1. But nothing changes. Im connecting to the game very fast, everything works, but FPS even in startup menu so low that its hard to use mouse to pick something. New driver for Nvidia- nothing, old - nothing.
Can you advise me something or Im just not lucky with my configuration?

I`ve try to switch Nvidia to intel hd 4600 integrated , and... its working on low settings pretty good! 0.o
How its possible that intel hd 4600 shows nice FPS, but GTX 850M not able even to use startup smooth?! Do here any people who playing on GTX 850M?

I`ve tested it on big tv instead of laptop screen, same, intel HD works ok on low settings, GTX 850M dont give you even chance to move mouse smooth. Does anyone have any ideas why GTX works so poor? And it happens only in this game.

All drivers new, Nvidia just updated yesterday. I checked now stats of GPU when game launched, looks like core showing 99% usage, but memory and others stats looks like working not even in half of power. Even temperature is not going up like in other games

i have the same problems,my PC is I7 3770 and GTX970 and ram is 8GB,but i also run the game in low FPS,especially in the city will more lower FPS,but at the countryside will better,i update the latest drivers but not sovle,maybe it's the game problems,i can play GTA V and assassins creed unity on high setting and high FPS,which master can help us to solve this problems,we must thanks a lot.

I just saw in supported GPU for release time, that its almost all Nvidia cards,but no 800 series and 900, thats pretty surprising me. So I need to ask refund or here still someone who using same GPU and dont have problems?

It's surely not the case for you:

I was thinking about some sort of hardware bug, with gpu clock running sometime at 33mhz
and result in games is horrible.

lower possible power state should set the clock at 135mhz. and max clock 450mhz at level 0
954mhz. max level 1 and 2

it may happen with optimus technology, while removing the ac power cord, Using sleeping mode,
few other things can trigger the 33mhz hardware lock...


The crew has two exe i think, one for the game and another for launcher.
You tryed to force performance to intel graphics for this game, and you are playing on low.
With best results on intel !?

I didn"t try games on windows, (optimus gtx 850M i have on my laptop with 2gb gddr5 memory and i5-4210h 4gb ram )

Actually i can't run the demo of the crew on my laptop ( i have no more trial time left)

And i run a linux-gnu based os (kubuntu)
Where i have no problems with games like borderland 2 but sometime the hardware clock like i sayd is set to 33mhz.

On my desktop with hd 7870 16gb ram and an i5 4670k,
i have to disable AA, lower shadow setting, set frame limiter on 60 instead of 30, and lower one or two other settings, to have more framerate, but it does not require to run on low.

On youtube you have videos of one gammer running on i5 4210h and gtx 840M and he can play , it's choppy but it does run.

A gtx 850M with gddr5 memory instead of gddr3, is almost as good as a gtx 860M in some case, i think i read it somewhere.

if it makes you feel better this game refuses to be solid 60 no matter the settings on my rig.

fx 8350 4.3ghz (8 cores)
r9 390 (gtx 980 tier) 8gb vram
16gbs system ram


So yeh. just cap it at 30 put everything on low or medium, turn up textures, and get a gamepad. the crew is the very definition of bad port. (i can run it at ultra 30 fps but thats besides the point) if you are trying to hit 60 it wont happen.
